The criminal world says good-bye to Vyacheslav Ivankov

Today, the criminal world said their good-byes to the legendary Vyacheslav "The Jap" Ivankov. The "Jap" passed away on July 28th of 2009 due to complications arising from an assasination attempt 2 months ago at the age of 69.



He was buruied next to his mother in the Vagankovskoe cemetary in Moscow. The wake lasted late into the night with various underworld figures, who either didnt want to flash their mugs or are wanted by the authorities, showing up late.

There were also many law enforcement officials who kept watch over the funeral and video taped the mourners. There were many criminal avtoritets among the guests but Ded Hassan, who stands to take Ivankov's place, was nowhere to be seen. There was only a wreith that bore "To my dear brother from Dedushka Hassan."

After the ceremony, the cemetery was inspected by the bomb squad. The funeral itself went without incident.
